Tate is a seasoned operations leader and dedicated public servant with a reputation for catalyzing mission-driven organizations. Tate began his professional journey by earning his Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Indiana University Fairbanks School of Public Health. There, he developed a deep passion for community health, with a focus on uplifting marginalized populations through evidence-based public health policy and administration.
After concluding his studies, Tate began working with Indiana’s oldest and largest HIV/AIDS Service Organization, Damien Center. There, he served in multiple roles within agency’s administrative teams, from Quality Assurance to Revenue Cycle Management and DEI programming. Most notably, Tate architected and scaled the Center’s 340B program—earning the agency tens of millions of dollars in program income and making it Damien’s largest revenue driver to date. These critical dollars were used to exponentially expand services and provide life-saving medications at little to no cost to patients.
After concluding his work at Damien Center, Tate began his tenure with NPAG, where he served as a Client Engagement Administrator to six organizational leaders. With an analytical eye, a knack for optimization, and a talent for building relationships, he helped manage critical portfolios, pilot new service offerings, and lead the redesign of the firm's own hiring and onboarding processes.
Now, as a leader in state government, Tate furthers his dedication to public service by directing operations in electronic services and legislative implementation. He oversees three teams across five mission-critical functions and heads a council of leaders—ultimately holding the responsibility of turning new state legislation into operational reality.
With sharply refined skills in operations, nonprofit management, human resources, finance, quality assurance, and information technology, Tate is incredibly excited to return to NPAG, and further his ultimate personal mission—to remove systemic barriers and empower his teams and communities to thrive. In his personal time, Tate enjoys dancing, writing, performing, and painting. You will also find him designing spaces and photographing beautiful subjects such as mountain ranges, beaches, skylines, or his personal favorite—his partner, Sikander.
