Fair Food Network

Director of Finance

Detroit, Michigan

Summary

Fair Food Network (FFN) is seeking an experienced professional to join the Finance Team as Director of Finance. The Director will be responsible for maintaining organizational and grant financial, accounting, and support services to meet the needs of FFN and its donors. This full-time role combines leadership in financial management with hands-on responsibilities encompassing financial reporting and analysis, budget development, grant management and compliance, as well as proven ability to guide strategic financial decisions that align with an organization’s goals.

FFN believes so much is possible when we start with food. Food is at the heart of every area of our lives and a powerful tool for positive change. That’s the inspiration for FFN’s mission: to grow community health and wealth through food. Their signature program, Double Up Food Bucks, serves as a national model for healthy food incentives by doubling the buying power of SNAP (formerly food stamps) recipients, helping families bring home more fruits and vegetables while boosting business for local farmers. Through the Fair Food Fund, its impact investing arm, FFN invests in food and farm entrepreneurs who are strengthening communities and local economies through food. Together, they are pioneering and proving innovations that can be owned locally and scaled nationally, for lasting change in communities across the country.

The Director of Finance will report to the Vice President of Finance, Cassandra Fletcher-Martin, and assist in supporting the organization’s overall financial health and sustainability. The Director will serve on FFN’s leadership team and will have a crucial role to play in implementing the mission, vision, and strategy that supports their work. This position is based in Detroit, MI, and can be a hybrid role with travel to the office for a minimum of 1-2 days per week.
